Devised and Performed by Jenna Watt
Giving Up the Ghost
is the story of a girl who is haunted by the grudges of her past. Filled with resentment she struggles to express herself with words and so creates images using lemons, soil and a trampete.
This highly visual and theatrical piece of work explores the gradual breakdown of a mother daughter relationship and its bitter effects.
Influenced by the work of Marina Abramovic, Lewis Caroll and Satre, Giving Up the Ghost reminds us of the sound, memory, feeling and taste of a bitter grudge.
