Jenna Watt is a performer, performance artist, dramaturge, administrator and workshop leader with a special interest in devised theatre and conceptual art.  She creates work which explores the visual language of theatre and the relationship between performer and spectator.  She believes that theatre should be an emotive experience where surreality can explain reality.  Jenna likes to tell extraordinary stories through her art, for her, any piece of theatre or live art needs to be engaging, beautiful, honest, provocative and interesting to perform.

Her influences include:
Marina Abramovic, Chris Burden, Bruce Nauman, Tim Etchells, Forced Entertainment, Vanishing Point, Odin Teatret, Richard Dedomenici, Breathe, Highway Diner, Karen Finlay, Alan Kaprow, Banksy, Sartre, Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens, Arcade Fire, Eric Morcambe

More importantly she hates boring theatre with no imagination and contemporary art that isnt interactive;
'how dull' - jenna watt

But most of all she loves big interactive sculptures and provocative and imaginative theatre;
'performance art's ability to rebel against structures of authority and its ability to subvert traditional conventions of theatre reveals fundamental distinctions between performance art and traditional theatre: provocation and illusion.'- jenna watt
